About Wroot Rocks

Husband and wife award winning independent music promoters, Wroot Rocks have been organising grass roots music events in the North Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire area since 2011.

We are passionate about live music and making it accessible and affordable to all in a welcoming, friendly, inclusive, and safe environment. We are committed to grassroots ethos, to finding emerging acts, supporting artists, curating diverse and interesting line-ups, and creating genuine experiences, rather than just gigs for profit.

Where large venues are more likely to book bands on tour, with management, agents, and PR companies, we seek out the interesting and the unusual (whether that be folk, alternative, punk or independent), and persuade them to bring their music to small venues in North Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire.

In addition to our two festivals, Ey Up Mi Duck and Gig in a Field, and our gigs in Wroot Village Hall, we are continually looking for new fun and innovative ways to share our love of music with our Wroot Rocks family. In 2025 we introduced Folk on the Water – three hour trips on a historic passenger riverboat with live music. We’re also excited about our Day Gigging – our usual Village Hall gigs with amazing bands, bar, and food, but during the day, so we can all still have an early night!!
